eva dahlgren
when a wild red rose blooms
the whole forest fills with its scent
under the oak leaves
the children of the wind rest
to the sound of a song
about a rose
in a forest
a song is heard
about a rose
about a wild
a wild red
wild red rose
and when a person
breathes in
for the first time
in her beloved's embrace
then she knows
that everything has the same
scent as
that flower's name
it digs in the earth
that sweet flower
it throws its root
around another root
the thorn and petal
that which i sow
grows wild
in someone else's earth
around the whole world
across from the path to a house, in the middle of the city
in the dust on a worn-out sidewalk
red rose petals
around the whole world
in the joint between railroad ties
under a bridge where no sunlight reaches
red rose petals
around the whole world
where nothing else dares to grow
the rose finds something and puts down roots
around the whole world
that flower gives a person peace
the wild gives a person peace
astonished
and in wonder
she stands by the path and smiles
i want to see my beloved come from the wilderness
i want to let love grow in the wild
i want to
dig in the earth
the sweet flower
throws its root
around another root
the thorn and petal
that which i sow
grows wild
in someone else's earth
i want to dare to give all my love in the wild
i want to dare to believe in your love in the wild
i want to
i want to let love grow in the wild
i want to
around the whole world
in the deserts' dry hot sand
on the cliffs down by the sea
which tears the land
red rose petals
around the whole world
where no one dares believe any longer
the rose finds something and puts down roots
around the whole world
in that flower people find peace
in the wild i find my peace
astonished
and in wonder
i stand by the way and smile
i want to see my beloved come from the wilderness
när en vild röd ros slår ut doftar hela skogen
