have i ever mentioned how badly i want this swedish folkart grandfather clock? badly enough that several times i've started considering how i could make it, like by mounting a clock at the top of a bookshelf - "first you'd need a jigsaw... oh, right, i don't know how to use one... maybe foam-core board...?" i'm just saying, i don't think the universe is very fair: give me a jigsaw! and why didn't my mother teach me to use one, anyway? (omg, how can it be that i don't already have a tag for interior design?)
also, it's raining. like a lot.

EVERYONE had sewing *and* cooking *and* metal shop *and* wood shop, which is awesome in retrospect. But that clock would be just a tad beyond sixth-grade skillz. Just a hair.
