Oh my god, I am COVERED IN EMBARRASSMENT! It's true there's something in my personality that makes people delight in proving me wrong--my own mother pumps her fist in the air and yells: YES! when she does--I'm not proud of it and can only hope I don't come off as some kind of horrible prig.

i was thinking more along the lines of the times when you deliver a judgement about some software/person/fandom movement/new community/fashion trend of which i am dubious, and then six weeks later or so i suddenly understand how COMPLETELY RIGHT you were all along.
