hey. more of the old het persephone story. [persephone ii], which i cleverly titled "child's play" when i was 15. because, um, there is playing and it is about children? yeah, cough cough. also, later, thought of "persephone and the village girls"--ie, she befriends the village girls. yeah. but was too lazy to change it. at any rate, a sample of the playing:

Several days and nerve-wracking adventures later, the five shepherdess crouched together on the banks of the river, holding their breaths for fear of discovery as the giants thundered through the forest.

"What we didn't know," Persephone explained, "is that Maia's..."

"Hellen's!"

"Hellen's father is actually the river god, Anchises. Naiads?" An alert face appeared over the rim of the fountain. "Have you been listening?"

"Oh, yes!" She grinned.

"Would you mind being Anchises?"

The game resumed. The tiny specks that were their friends and steeds, the pegasii, vanished overhead.

"I hope they can find help," Danae whispered.

"Ino," Persephone said, "we know they can find help."

"Oh, sorry. I hope they can reach Athena in time," Danae whispered.

"My daughter!" Came a rumble from the river. They leaned over the river. The face of the river-
god, distinguished -

"and handsome," the naiad added.

The handsome, distinguished face of the river-god stared up at them. "My daughter," he whispered. He rose up from the water, and reached out to touch Hellen's hand. "I am Anchises," he said, "and you are my child. To me, all of you! I will protect you!"

Which tarot card are you?

hahahaha, cool. in my mythic tarot, the high priestess is my girl, persephone! i am persephone. i knew it... because i get kidnapped at adolescence and eventually become the queen of the underworld, ruling at hades' side, and because i'm responsible for the changing of seasons, and because. yeah. actually the persephone myth is related to sumerian ones and stuff that were all about menstrual blood in allegory and stuff. so, cool.

anyway.
