♥ I really love this show so, so much right now. Even though I love it so much as to find it perfect in itself and not demanding of fanfiction, I can't help thinking wow, wouldn't it be so wonderful if there were some that was really awesome? Even if it were only a tenth as cool as, oh, say, the latest episode, which like - aölskdjfö;. Owns my soul.

Though [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine rightfully points out that Dorinda's Some Living After We Die is really awesome (seriously, five stars! caveatless!), it is a relatively short episode-tag from the first season and is more likely to whet the appetite than to fulfill the hunger. (TFV and I have discussed petitioning Dorinda to write more. Y/N?)

Dorinda is trying to finish her dissertation. Once she does, she will get herself an LJ (or so she implied to me) and then I think it would be fair of us to bother her for YES MORE PLEASE. Until then, she's really trying not to ... spend too much time on fannish stuff. Or so she said last time I emailed her, more than a year ago.

Oh, tragic! Hopeful, yet simultaneously tragic. It might be harder to lure her back to a fandom with no more canon left. But who knows? I suppose it might also be easier. At least we'll know what's been going on, somewhat.

Yep, next week's is the last one, and there won't be any further seasons, so we're definitely heading for resolution.

There is supposed to be a spinoff without Sam (but still starring Gene) set in the 80s, however. And John Simm is going to play the Master in Doctor Who now! Which will be a smaller role, I'm positive, so it's not likely it could be empirically as awesome as Life on Mars, but on the other hand... John Simm being a melodramatic swishy villain and menacing David Tennant, if the Master's former appearances are anything to go by!
