cimorenein the lull before the dinner guests, cim takes time out of her busy kitty-litter-avoidance schedule to bring you this special bulletin.
1. fresh cilantro is the best smell in the world.
2. dead birds are really, really gross. they are the kind of thing that you should use to never, ever think about unless you want to punish yourself, and certainly never see, and not at all the kind of thing you should, say, rub on your ears and face. however, dogs do not seem to understand this.
3. spanish accents are drop-dead sexy. also adorable.
don't worry; i'll control myself. and i put water on the dog's head in a fruitless combination of punishment and cleaning (he looked at me bemusedly, and shook his head to send little droplets flying all over the place). and more than the half cup called for of cilantro has gone in my special favorite salsa. hm, maybe i'll post a recipe later. it's pico de gallo norteño from zarela martinez's mexican cookbook food from my heart. tralala. my hands smell like cilantro and garlic and scallions and lime, mmmmh.
