Dudes will be dudes

There were these two dudes in my graduating class who were attached-at-the-hip best friends and always showed their love by endearingly ramming each other's heads into the walls, the floor, the furniture, etc at every opportunity; grappling and wrestling on the floor; and knocking every desk in the room aside as they careened wildly through the classroom, in every spare moment and many moments that were not technically spare. They failed to save the horsing around for outside school hours, but even guys whose favourite activity is drinking beer on their asses show love by injuring one another. So even if he hadn't started it by jumping on Gerard from up high while he was singing and standing with one foot on an amp for extra precarious balance, I don't think grappling, stumbling, and falling on his ass would even register on Frank's mental radar. Considering all the injuries he regularly does to himself it's possible he wouldn't have noticed being kicked in the nuts, either. Or the face.

Yeah, I feel like people are wildly overreacting to this. I'm more worried about how awful Gerard's singing is in that clip, personally.

LOL That was my first thought, too. I was like, damn, I would be pissed off if I'd paid money to see him sing this shittily. He sounded like he was out of breath the entire time.

I'm also thinking this is a little bit of overreaction. But I may just be a callous fan because my first thought was: I wonder if this will spawn H/C or domestic abuse fic? Then I was like: I wonder what happened to piss Gerard off? Then: I think Bob should have a talk with those two boys.

yeah, it seems like fairly normal frank behavior, and definitely normal guy behavior. i'm kind of appalled by the crowd, though; way to film the one location where nobody looks excited to be there, myspace.

I found this recap of the episode (http://restriction.livejournal.com/683491.html?thread=11076835#t11076835) to be pretty reassuring, actually, and also more sensical than some of the wilder theories I've been seeing around. OHHH INTERNETS.
