how to join multiple avis into one longer avi?

Internets, supposing you have used vixy.net to download an entire movie from YouTube because you don't have VHS-to-avi capabilities and it's never been released on DVD at all. Your movie is now in 6-14 annoying 10-minute-or-less avi files.

Is there a way to join them into one long avi? Help me!

Heeeee. Thanks, but the movies in question are way obscure and I've totally tried everything. Thank goodness for YouTube, though! It's sad to have movies on VHS and no working VCR.

Hmm, I don't know how widely available the shipping is from thinkgeek.com, but they have this neat device (http://www.thinkgeek.com/96d6) that rips DVD and VHS to your computer.

I've been told that VirtualDubMod is the best free program for this purpose, but I can't confirm as I haven't had a chance to install it yet.
