reduced sodium

I'm an unrepentant salt addict, but my parents accidentally got me one box of "reduced sodium" red beans & rice mix (they mail this to me intermittently because you can't buy anything like it here). I was eating the leftovers of the package of it just now and, ironically, when I was salting it the lid to the salt shaker fell off, dumping half the salt on it. There was a glittering white pile. I tried shaking, then scraping it off, but even the salt that had already dissolved and/or become invisible was enough to make it inedible. The only time I want to feel like I've just licked a pile of pure salt up is when I'm having tequila shots, thanks. So I had to throw it away. Luckily it wasn't quite a whole serving.
