We had a short and emotionally draining¹ Christmas with Wax's mother, much less stressful than usual, and my heart is filled with gratitude and warmth and well-being, although I miss my own parents. Brother Windows and Carmela both were extremely delighted by the presents I we picked out for them and Wax's mom made a :D face, so I think overall our work was a success. My most remarkable present was this scarf that has some kind of magic dye that looks grey in indoor lighting and green in sunlight. I don't think that was on purpose, but it's like an optical illusion.

Wax was putting out food for her mother's elderly Norwegian Forest Cat, Börje, when Tea jumped up on the table and started eating it. For a long time he just kind of sat there all, "What? What the hell? Hello?"

Börje keeps his pimp hand strong and his bitches in line. (He kind of picked her up and moved her out of the way. He reminds us of Bob.)

Because we're both introverts, spending too much time socially with other people, even our immediate families, exhausts us even more than exercise and leaves us anxious and ready to sleep for 24 hours. It's not the fault of Wax's mother. She's twenty times more restful than my mother because she's organised and doesn't have seasonal depression. °
