Although they're less beautiful and immediately striking than those green quilted boots, these have some advantages like being flat and lugged and impervious to rain, and on the whole I think I actually like them better. I'd buy them right away if I had a few hundred bucks to spend on them, even though Wax says I couldn't wear them riding because people might get the wrong idea and think I was the leader of the hunt (small danger of that: I can't ride).
