I finally gave in to my impulse to get some nice rubber wellies for the rain the other day. They're a few years overdue - Finland's a rainy climate, and it's inconvenient wearing my 2½"-heeled leather kneeboots just to walk the dog when it gets wet, but nothing else will keep my hems dry. Until now! May I present my delightful Engrish Rainboots?



I'm not really sure whether these are made in Finland, but one sees them around quite a bit here and my fancy was tickled by the Engrish (Finngrish?) - if you look at the text it's some sort of surreal abstract poetry, or in other words, a list of random sun- and summer-related adjectives and nouns. A big version, for a better view of the, er, "poetry".

Those are quite adorable! I don't know if I'd be able to limit myself to wearing them in wet-and-muddy weather, really, in the face of that much cute.

Shhhh, I also wear them out to walk the dog. (They slip on quite easily, which makes them convenient!)
