So, I keep a running list of DVDs to buy when possible/when I feel like buying DVDs/when we walk by a display and see they aren't that expensive.

I tend to assume that everyone is like me, at least if they are inveterate consumers of media and don't always, immediately, buy everything they want. I'd be interested to see anyone else's lists like this. Which is funny, because before I met my boo the only TV shows I'd admit at gunpoint were good would have been Star Trek, The West Wing, and Due South, and The West Wing would never have made a list of things to own, while you couldn't convince me to watch tv on a daily basis for anything less than Original Series K/S, not even TNG. I guess even someone with a short attention span and a 100x preference for the written word can become somewhat accustomed (addicted?) to moving pictures on the screen.

Marie Antoinette
Stardust
Enchanted (only because it's not out on DVD)
HP & the OOTP
POTC 3

If you don't want to order all of them, you can get at least "Labyrinth" (Special Ed), "Pride and Prejudice", "Sense and Sensibility", "Clueless" (Special Ed) and "Love Actually" for less than 10 EUR at places like Anttila or Stockmann at the moment. I think the Scandinavian edition of "Emma", which sadly is not in widescreen, is out of stock but you can easily get it second-hand. *spends too much time at work*

I imported Labyrinth years ago from the UK for my little sister - this was even before the special edition was released - and payed something like 35-40 EUR for it. It was well worth it, though!

I haven't noticed any of the Austen movies on sale at Anttila or Stockmann although I only go to their dvd departments every other month or so nowadays. Although I know I've seen Clueless I haven't got around to picking it up because I have the illegal copy and it's lower on the list. As for Emma... that just sucks. But maybe I'll come into your shop sometime and look for it. :)

Hmm, that's weird. But Anttila has been having sales so often lately, it's no wonder if they have no Austen on display anymore.

I think there are still copies of Clueless, Love Actually and Emma available at where I work. And the Knightley P&P pops up every now and then. :)

Fortunately my parents have it so I haven't been COMPLETELY deprived. My HS best friend had it, too, so I saw it throughout my teenage years and last in 2003 or so. :D

I was a biiiiig Labyrinth fangirl in my teenage years. Oh god. It was like being in a cult, if cults were all about sparkly fluffy love and Mary Sues. And muppets. And it was a super-bad thing according to the more elitist Bowie fans (mainly grumpy middle-aged men) and I got my head bashed in countless times.

For the record, I HEART The Addams Family so very much. <3
