so i've started my housesitting job. and here i am, updating from the cable internet in my employers' house. this is the president of our uu congregation, his wife and two adopted korean children (who are easily the cutest little bad boys ever born. i call them "my babies," although not, of course, to their faces). gave the cat a shot, got the mail and fed the dogs. this house is large and cool and pretty, and its state of disorder looks like our kitchen on a good day. bev apologized for the mess in quite a cute way. later i'm going to sleep here, but for tonight i have more work to do at home and i haven't brought over toiletries or clothes or anything.

i was SUPPOSED to get cable internet at home today so i'd be able to chat and surf and read smut to my heart's content. my dreams and comcast cable had a little disagreement when they arrived early and failed to ring the doorbell, opting instead, apparently, to knock very very quietly even though i live in a big house, which you can tell perfectly well, i might add, from the outside. by looking.

at any rate, mom got home and discovered a "sorry we missed you" sign on the door, and when i called to reschedule they were slippery and evasive as usual. will i ever have the cable internet i need to talk for eight whole hours at a time with certain crumpets as i prefer, and to download endless mp3s and make new wallpapers?
