1. You have 50 dollars in your pocket - what do you do with it?
Go to my favourite bookstore and pick up a couple of books, window-shop in my favourite clothing stores but only buy something if it's on sale.

2. What is your most guilty pleasure?
Next Top Model... or potato chips. Tie?

3. Have you ever seen someone die?
No, but I had a seriously traumatizing scary dream about my great-grandma Sylvia dying as I sat on her lap when I was about 11.

4. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
Horribly, yeah. Basically because I'm living in a country where I can't work in 90% of workplaces, including most of those in my field, unless I become fluent at a language I suck at and struggle with a lot.

5. What was the last movie you saw, for pleasure, and would you recommend it?
Movie... that would be... The Nanny Diaries, and holy shit, it sucked. DO NOT WATCH IT. Enraging, crappy, offensive, sexist, badly-written chick-lit.

6. Superman or Batman?
I actually really like both Superman and Batman, especially the Batman animated series and the ancient black and white 50's superman (although I've never read any comics at all; it's not like I'm a buff). But in the modern state of the franchises, I love the new Christian Bale stuff and I was pretty bored by the new Superman film, plus Batman is hilarious (it's BATMAN, he doesn't enjoy ANYTHING) and occasionally slashy, so he has the slight edge.

7. If the person you like does not accept you, would you continue to wait for them to change their feelings?
I have difficulty even understanding this question beyond the academic level. It's just alien to my experience, I guess, and impossible to imagine personally because I'm such a private person and I've only ever been romantically involved with [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism. I was very tenacious, but it's not like she resisted - the obstacles were all practical, like the Atlantic Ocean.

8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Um... wait? Maybe? Or dismiss the entire thing? Actually when I first had a crush on Wax, she was "dating" (in that way where you never actually leave the house) another girl, but it wasn't serious.

9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy recently?
I'm unhappy with myself all the time because of my social anxiety and how much it cripples my lifestyle.

10.If you could have chosen at birth whether to be a boy or a girl, which would you be?
I'd rather be female because we're smarter and I'd probably have turned out even more neurotic male.

11. Which of the 7 Deadly Sins do you think you relate to the most & why?
Probably sloth, I guess, although it's more like inertia. Probably a touch of OCD - I have a lot of trouble starting to do something when I don't have a secure routine in place already.

12. Thunderstorms - cool or scary?
Awesome. I love them.

13. Clinton or Obama?
I'll vote for Obama if my primary ballot ever arrives because I like his international politics better and I think those are more important right now. I like him better personally but consider that irrelevant and would probably be equally happy with either one in the White House. The prospect of a woman president is very exciting, though, and if not for the difference in international politics I'd probably go for Clinton even though my politics line up more with Obama's (except for her views on healthcare), because I think more women in world leadership is important and this is the time for that change.

14. Would you rather be a really good person or a really interesting person?
Interesting, I guess, but that's a tough one. I feel pulled both ways.

15. Do you believe in some form of life after death?
No.

16. Which fictional character could you most see yourself marrying?
I can't. Marrying? No way. But I'd shack up with Spock.

17. Best sex: rough and fast or slow and tender?
Hm... probably rough and fast.

18. Do you have a motto? If yes, which one?
Not really, but "If you don't want to be corrected, don't be wrong" has been a catchphrase for much of my life.

20. What place most speaks to you?
Places don't speak at all, which is kind of the cool thing about the really awesome ones, I think.

I can picture you with Spock, specifically, what your Christmas cards would be like.
