vidding. it's ironic.
24 Mar 2008 05:38 pmIt pains me deeply that I don't have the attention span for vidding, because I feel in my soul a need for a Sarah Connor vid to Ave Maria (this particular recording from Japanese singer Kokia, from her brand new album):
It's glaringly symbolic! But it also allows for slow religious music with ass-kicking, which is an especially fun kind of vid. Then there's Lena Headey's googly eyes of crazy and tragical faces, too. It'd be great.
This one's Gummiband, an off-beat kent b-side that would make a nice vid, yes, but also has a really unusual, low-fi, distressed quality to the track, insistent but slow, in a minor key, with these sort of industrial-sounding ornaments.
I'm eating a sandwich of artichoke hearts and red pepper hummus on flat raisin rye sourdough. This bread is practically the best bread ever. It's a foodgasm. (That type of sandwich is also good on baguettes or french bread, though, or in pitas or tortillas.)
