What I really, really want is some General Foods International Coffees sugary DECAF flavoured coffee mix. See, if I make cocoa with water it's gross and if I make it with milk it's too rich and makes me sick, so I have to mix it with coffee mix (café au lait or cappuccino) to make it palatable with water, but there is no decaf; and the caffeine acts, er, badly on me. But I need my warm chocolate flavoured beverage in the morning. So - BEVERAGE TECHNOLOGY. Finland cant has it. These fools never drink decaf.

Also, I've been rereading, and have landed in my Diana Wynne Jones shelf, but I've almost run out of DWJ to reread. So I do dearly hope that the beloved friends who have borrowed them from me will be able to give them back in the near future.

Sweetened Condensed Milk is your answer. Sadly, it's made by Nestle, but it's the only product I've found that does the job.

Well, I use one teaspoonful of SCM with either coffee or cocoa, and then add hot water (no extra sugar). And it's just right -- not too sweet, not too milky, but not the horrible wateriness of water-and-a-dash-of-milk.

I was sceptical at first, but it's oddly perfect.

Have you tried making it half milk, half water? I used to do that when I was a kid. Actually I did it more like 3/4 water and 1/4 milk.

Yeah, even that much water is too much. This is not high-quality cocoa mix.
