talking about lost and twin peaks: dad has a point

cim: Lost is even stupider than Heroes. It was stupid from the beginning! And Heroes took at least half a season to get stupid.
Daddy: Lost was cool until the mysteriosity was unveiled... and was stupid.
cim: I hate those bizarre conspiracy theory plots. I'd already heard before the end of season 1 that they were making it up as they went along and didn't know what the mystery was - at which point I lost all respect for them.
cim: Fucking Twin Peaks all over again.
Daddy: Yes, it did become way too much like Twin Peaks. I didn't mind them making it up as they went along. I minded than coming up with something really dumb and slasher movie like. Lost hasn't become like a slasher movie, but it has definitely become just as dumb.
cim: Wait, having him be possessed by an evil alien ghost named BOB was slasher-like? LOLOL. I wouldn't call that anything but "Twin Peaks-like".
cim: He kind of invented the "Wait, it was done by an alien sex demon ghost named Bob" genre.
Daddy: Except that Bob was a slasher, albeit a ghostly one. I think what makes it Twin Peaks like is that it got more and more complicated and confusing and senseless until it just suddenly ended. They might tie things together at the end of Lost, but I seriously doubt it.

i stopped watching house once the polar bear or whatever appeared, but my boyfriend's mom luuuuuuuuuuurves it, even when it makes no sense.
