cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (Default)

As I wrote yesterday to [livejournal.com profile] perhael, switching from citalopram (Celexa) to escitalopram (Lexapro) is supposed to provide no notable side-effects because the chemical makeup is so similar, but I've been treated to a retrospective of going on citalopram: Being. Sleepy. All. The. Time.

I'd actually forgotten entirely about that side-effect, which wore off pretty fast. But now after I eat, or six hours or so after I wake up, or in the early evening, or all of the above if those don't overlap, I get as exhausted as if I'd spent a full day in physical labour and collapse onto the couch or bed and lose consciousness. Yesterday I napped through the early evening, then fell asleep again a couple of hours later, then went to bed and easily slept eleven hours. And this afternoon I fell asleep on the couch while waiting for the bread to toast for my lunch yet again. (It's good the toaster is set on 'light', or I would have burned a lot of bread over the last few days.)

In other news, I watched all the extras on Clueless yesterday and made oodles of screencaps. Now I think I shall watch the extras from Labyrinth, since all my sewing projects are stalled for want of ribbons, zippers, buttons, seam tapes and the like.
