I am really, really exhuasted and my feet really hurt after spending about eight hours on my feet downtown today on an epic shopping trip with bluesbell, lexandros and shiroi_chi! I wasted surprisingly little money, considering how epic this trip was, containing as it did two different coffee shops plus a lunch restaurant (complete with stomach upset!), two separate Marimekko boutiques and three visits to Stockmann. As for Marimekko, I'll take one of everything! (Haha. I wish.) But despite the happy feelings of well-being, I'm also feeling kind of flattened, so here is a picture of Ciara being cute at the noobs' party ten days ago.



The blue sleeve belongs to Loke and the brown knee belongs to Leon. The camera belongs to Brother Linux.

I greatly envy your ease of access to Marimekko. It's best for me to be far away, I find ... though I bet you get to paw through things that are on *sale*. See, that just leads to trouble.

Marimekko is incredibly popular here! It's almost a matter of patriotism. On the other hand, the range of products is wide, and some of it is quite affordable - though the stunningly popular Marimekko bags are still up there on the expensive side, and my ambitions for a dress are bound to remain unfulfilled probably for a few decades. Sale racks, yes, though they were mostly full of change purses, mugs and handkerchiefs yesterday. The Omena-print sneakers I fell in love with were down to 25 euros yesterday, though, and I would have bought them right then if I'd happened to have a credit card with me... so it's a good thing I didn't.
