Bacterial infection in an old root canal where the tooth actually broke in two bits. It will have to be redone now, once the infection is clear.

i still can't believe that they wouldn't give her anything when she FIRST went in, oh my god. have none of them ever had tooth pain?

Clark Kent! And also they're actually a clear, milky plastic stuff with this shiny coating on the outer surface of translucent dark olive green which only looks black in the picture.

Yeah. :) In fact the antibiotics have even started to work! She says the infected part itself doesn't hurt anymore... just the open cuts in her gums that the dentist made!
