And she frequently talks to him directly, and rubs herself in his face. She doesn't smack him around for fun the way Lily does - she only lashes out when scared and startled, the same circumstances in which she will hiss or take a swipe at one of us. Perry's attitude to all of this is wary to say the least. XD

I love how, in the end, dogs are usually the brow-beaten ones in a family with dogs and cats. XD (I, too, have a beagle and cats, and our cats have decided that, since the dog is younger, she needs to be treated like a kitten would be, getting fed by the cats, but also disciplined when she does something wrong.)

The only time it's the cats who are brow-beaten is when the other pets in the house include either a bunch of guineapigs (guineapigs are scary, my cats maintain), or turtles, since they seem to utterly bewilder cats. XD

Although the cats are afraid of Perry sometimes just because he's big, though he never tries to intimidate, only to play! His idea of playing is chasing, though, it's true...

Meanwhile, Aapo the Crazy Rabbit was able to chase my sister's cat out of the house whenever he liked. Even though the cat was twice his size, and, well, a predator. House rabbits are ferocious little beasts. :D
