The side-effect of searching all over the damned internet for one pair of Docs is that you are exposed to a large number of other pairs! And tempted to begin a personal collection. Observe:



The Adina, in taupe, appears to be quite popular in Germany, from the sites where it kept turning up like a distractingly pretty bad penny when I was searching fruitlessly for those mythical Vondas (I've placed an order now so, fingers crossed, and Amazon willing, I will have them soon).

I love how pretty it is and how the styling is a bit gothy but the colour is unexpected (it doesn't even come in black!), how the curlicues cleverly combine with the playful take on pierced wingtip detailing! And the pearly contrast panels. Mmmmm.

But no, I am not going to order them. At least not anytime soon. (But if you want to, try Amazon.com, .co.uk, .de.)

Ever since I've seen those Adinas on your LJ, I've been craving a pair of fancy Docs. I went to their websites for the US, the UK, and the rest of Europe, and they don't have any this elaborate. Must be limited editions?
