bizarrely apropos jewelry

Wax is wearing a silver W necklace that my favourite cousins picked out for me from my maternal-maternal great-grandmother's jewelry box. None of her names ever began with a W - she is an Evelyn - but her mother's name was Wilhelmina. On the other hand, I don't think they made this sort of jewelry in the first decade of the 20th century, and Wilhelmina died before my mother was born. So the source of the W is a mystery, but it's a happy coincidence. Also from the same collection:

Maybe Evelyn had the 'W' necklace made in honor of Wilhelmina, after her death? Or maybe there was someone else whose name started with a 'W'.

Ahem! Darlings! We've finally pinned down our plane tickets and have actual dates. The 22nd until the 2nd. So now comes the part where I must ask if there is any time during that period when you would like to be burdened with my presence. However, to help alleviate said burdens, I shall come bearing gifts for the furry and non-furry alike :-) Kind of like a happy holiday elf, except not so much with the ears, height, and funny shoes. Pointy toes are *so* two seasons ago.

T says that he can drop me off earlier this time so we get a full day, but once again, that's at your discretion. We are planning on doing Turku castle in the morning (a couple of hours) then he'd go off to meet his friends as well. Anyways, let me know as I would absolutely love to see y'all!
