Dude.

My new phone was just delivered to the door by the Finnish Alan Tudyk.

He was taller and narrower, but the resemblance was... striking.

In other news, my reproductive system's latest addition to its arsenal of implements for monthly torture is a hideous, throbbing, stab-an-icepick-in-your-skull-to-make-it-go-away headache that does not respond to paracetamol/acetaminophen or to double doses of ketoprofen. I'm sitting here with my neck draped over a hot water bottle for the slight measure of relief it provides, occasionally massaging my temples more for distraction than because it helps. :( Suggestions?

I started getting a similar kind of migraine when I was 35 (sigh). In my case I was told it's hormonally induced migraine, when the hormonal levels drop, on the second day usually. The only solution for me is to take aspirin (or ibuprofen) at the very first sign for impeding menstruation. Actually, the best thing would be to start taking the aspirin two days before but my biology isn't that well-timed.

The severity of my migraine also relates to stress - the more stress, the more trouble.

Hope you find a solution for yourself. It really sucks.

Actually, since my periods are pretty regular, I probably could do that. But do you actually mean to keep taking the aspirin, like, every time one dose wears off, take another one? Because by the end of the whole week that'd be a lot of aspirin...

I'm not completely sure about the dose but it sounded like three aspirin a day for the two days before it starts.

As my menstruation keeps lingering on, I just take care that I take pain killers on the first two days and especially a pill before going to bed on the first and second evening because the migraine likes to start over night :/

I guess you've got to experiment...

I think I read somewhere that cold compresses are better for a headache than hot compresses. I didn't believe it until I tried it, and it worked for me at least. Might be worth a try?
