there should be an au where sho is a garage mechanic and aiba is a racecar driver.

and one where aiba and jun get sucked into some kind of mirror universe, although i haven't decided what kind (future? past? everybody is evil? world is run by robots? basic unit of society is fetishised bdsm relationships? marx wasn't wrong and the world is now completely communist and everyone speaks chinese, russian, or spanish?), i just thought the getting sucked into one part would be funny.

is aiba the new hot stuff racecar driver? not like--full of himself, but the new promising rookie. and maybe sho used to be a driver himself, but was in an accident and can't anymore?

oh cim. ♥ there's an alternate universe in the manga here is greenwood where the alternate universe is all girl versions; that also happens in red dwarf, i think. imagine girl!jun and jun hanging out and talking about boys. XD or would girl!jun be a total lipstick lesbian? or something?

hmmmm... it's hard to imagine jun a lesbian. he'd probably be straight, mostly. a straight dominatrix. i don't know, though. i find it hard to envision genderswaps.

nah, i think sho is just a kind of awesome laid-back mechanic. and maybe jun works for him and nino and ohno are also part of the warm extended family he has. sometime aiba gets to go to his place and there's a party on and he's all wowed. but i don't know anything about actually racing so that's where my pondering has to stop, i suppose.

is this an aiba/sho? because i would approve of that most heartily, where maybe aiba gets really worked up after a near-death where his car crashed terribly but he turned out miraculously to be fine, and sho, who of course had been watching the whole thing, the second that he's allowed to, he goes over to aiba and pats him down, his eyes totally wide, and he's like, "you dummy, don't do that again! i was scared out of my mind!" and aiba's like, "you were scared?!" and sho looks at his face and then hugs him tight.

hmmm. but i don't know when the mechanics get to see the drivers at the end of the race, i mean, there's usually some time in between probably i'd think. and yeah, it was meant to be an aiba/sho one. where sho's beer-drinking mechanic buddies have a large warm-hearted barbecue and aiba is so dazzled and has such a great time when sho brings him there one time!

and i meant, like, that sho would have been watching on TV--like one inside of the pit stop? or i'm sure you can see a lot of the track from the pitstop. or i could be making that up, but either way, i bet sho would want to make sure for himself!

sure, but getting an opportunity to go up to him and hug him - it could be a while. or i don't know, maybe they're right there when they get out of the car. it seems like that could be inconvenient though.
