  • jurisimprudence for feminism. ahahha.

  • this article co-written by a swedish-speaking finn and an irish dude is showing signs to me both of having been translated from swedish (at times) and of the english having been composed by an irish person (at times). i wouldn't have recognised the latter before since it's not like it sounds like the lucky charms leprechaun, but thanks to betaing for [livejournal.com profile] kessie my ear (...reading ear) was (without my knowledge!) primed for recognition. i mean, i had no idea before i started reading this paper that she sounded irish, but i definitely keep thinking that the writer sounds a bit like her. now i want to go to ireland and listen to some people talk. ;.;

  • "~" is not a punctuation mark in english. kill it. with fire.

  • yesterday a guy asked me if i thought that harvard had a sociology department. XD (um, yes.)

  • lily just rolled over in her sleep and almost fell headfirst into the trashcan, which seems to be conclusive proof that the world is a wonderful place. or maybe that would only be conclusive if she actually had fallen?

  • jun in a barbie pink and purple abba shirt might just be the essence of gay. actually it says 'gabba', but i'm going to write that up to a conspiracy of fiendishly clever and post-modern japanese tshirt makers and leave it at that. or maybe it was the work of evil!genius!aiba

  • ohno is a total space cadet. nino notices this.

    the face of My Mate Is Behaving Poorly In Public.

    the face of My Mate Is Going To Make This Up To Me Later Because He Has Ignored My Telepathic Reprimand For At Least A Full Second Now.

    the fact that his mate is staring fixedly at him begins to impinge upon ohno's consciousness.

    his automatic response is a faint, sleepy smile: Eye Contact With My Mate! = Warm/Fuzzy ♥!

    nino fails to maintain his severe expression in the face of such temptation. he smirks.

    and then he grins.

♥♥ i'll just read the christmas stuff you write; things don't have to be written for me for me to enjoy them!

fandom-wise i am writing arashi in my spare moments and reading tenipuri (and a few other things), but mostly from recs as opposed to seeking it out. and i'm avoiding tezuryo on the basis of who wrote it so i haven't read much of it in a while.

I've sort of fallen into the habit of only reading fic from people I know and like, and most of the TezuRyo written lately has me staring at my computer screen in dismay. I want to know what they've done with the real characters, and where can I find them. D:

I've fallen into a very big Atobe kick recently, actually, only to discover that Atobe/Tezuka really is like gold-dust, good or badly written. But there was a nice Kajimoto/Wakato begun recently, and I hope the writer continues with it.

there was a nice kajimoto/wakato! my skimming has reached unprecedented levels when i fail to notice THAT. of course being a wip detracts from its attractiveness considerably. :( *pokes around for it anyway*

re:tezuryo, it is really said when a community reaches the point where for the majority of things posted you can tell from the summaries that it will be better for all concerned if you do not read them.
