Shiny!

(I have a Nokia N810. It has the internets. And books. and music. And skype. And games. But it has no sim-card, and it is not a phone. The N900 is very, very shiny. )

Shiny accent. Shiny phone. Unfortunately, the way it works is that the entire planet will get this phone about 3 years before the US. So, I expect to be seeing ads for it in about 2012. Sigh. Until then I have my T-mobile "mytouch" which is the HTC magic for the rest of the world. I don't think it is available in any Scandinavian country yet. It surfs the web but the screen is much smaller than the N900.

Dear US,

Welcome to the world of the rest of the world! Except for how a lot of the time we never get things at all because US companies think we don't count. And, in fact, when you don't get Nokia products right away, it's STILL because the US [mobile phone infrastructure] hates Nokia [and the relative freedom of the rest of the world's systems], and not the other way around. But we take our schadenfreude where we can.
