i remember when i was taking oboe lessons in 8th grade and my teacher--a very hot grad student named 'frank' (but short for 'francisco')--started talking about the colors of sound. that's warmer, that's good, but it's still too yellow, you want a darker, kind of red--i thought he was insane at first, but i'd learned the hard way to trust my oboe teachers, and i eventually started to get what he was talking about. my k'salamander (whose reign is transcendant and fruitful) (gratuitous delany reference, +100 points if you recognize it) talks about thinking in patterns as opposed to in words, which also took me a few months of mulling over to get used to, but i've eventually come to the conclusion that brains are wired--interestingly, with little connections between things that we don't think about or know about. i mean, obviously they must have them, but you wouldn't think people would agree about what shape and density a story was, or what color a sound was. but they do.
that said, there are pictures that i can smell. icons, i mean, of various people.
i'm nearly over being weirded out by this, i think. hope. pretend.

Well...
