Frye "Adrienne" Lace

I really want some Frye boots - not girly ones like this actually; I'm more into their more classic engineer style - but I don't like them quite as much as Docs and they're pretty expensive.

Those are nice and steampunky, though. I tried to get into engineer boots once and couldn't. What the hell? I'm not a misshapen freak or anything.

Depends on the fitting, I guess. Wax tried on a misshapen pair of Rocket Dogs that - well, her foot went in, but they fit totally wrong. Bad lasts, I guess. If the shaft is going to be wider for the whole pull-on thing you probably have to be careful how you shape the top of the foot.

LOL. Grandma Duck has those boots. They are fab, tho. Wish I had the legs for them.

i found a pair of frye harness boots in a second hand shop for £40 a couple years ago -- it brought me enormous joy.

I own a pair of engineer's boots, and there was a period when I couldn't get into them because I was doing Highland Dance (think fencing for the calf development) and walking a lot. I exceeded the amount of give.

Sadly, the 'classic' combat boot is a thing of the past (okay so the innards is no big loss, but the lacing.

Anyway, a walking heel like this is pretty nice, but the pitch is a bit steep. But yeah, bad lasts are a boil.
