chibi studies

The idea is that these chibimes no longer resemble Barbra Streisand. (Hopefully, they even resemble me!) Does it work? Chibiwax is present because she's so much more fun and easy to draw, although I rarely draw her from the front.

Also, the first page tore out of my new sketch pad. I knew the glue binding was bad! But the paper was so much nicer! Oh well, I'll buy a frame for it next time we're at Ikea.

I actually like your one yesterday best. Yeah, the nose is big, but I thought it was cute and caricature-y.

That is nice to hear! It was my favorite too, but everybody else said it was a bad likeness.

I second this! I thought the exaggerated nose was a nice identifying caricatured bit. which makes sense when drawing chibis!

but I have to say I also really like the second one from the left, there, the facing drawing on top of the profile one? It's great. :)

Thank you! I think that one is my favorite of this batch too. It's the eyes.

Your chibis are always so expressive (and Wax looks so much like herself)! Mine mostly look like lumps of dough. >___

It's hard to make a likeness in a format that is only a cm or so tall, where the eyes are dots and the eyebrows are lines! It takes some work. Although I think my Gene and Sam chibis were pretty good likenesses, I later tried to do the same thing for Jensen and Jared as well as Draco and Neville, and I couldn't even get off the ground because the faces just wouldn't come out right.
