These are the shoes I actually bought to go with the aforementioned tough-to-match cocktail dress. Sadly, my favorite striped thigh-high socks do not match the dress.

Hmm. I probably could manage an outfit for, like, day wear! It's just that I can't wear the socks to the wedding with the dress is all. That's ok, it's an excuse to buy colorful tights.
