These could totes be used as SF movie costumes.

LOL, that was my exact first thought as well! It's still an ambition of mine to get some shoes I can wear in real life that also make me feel like I'm cosplaying for some adventure sf book at the same time. (They don't carry these locally though so they would be a bit of a risk, not being able to try them on first.)

Blowfish boots are tight across the top of the foot/front of the ankle, my swollen feet could not fit in them comfortably :-(
