Fili and Kili had been my childhood friends in Ered Luin. As a half dwarf it was good to have them...
Things changed... our relationship became much more than that.
Fili and Kili approached me with their relationship, wanted to include me.
Then our love was found, and an ancient law changed things forever.. [Apparently there are areas of fanfiction.net where the term 'OFC' is not known...] - John Watson was a Shire, born and bred, but he was really quite terrible at it.

Her name is Kayleigh Gallagher. She is here to fuck shit up. - [tags] Thorin Oakenshield/Original Female Character
Thorin, working as a smith in the lands of men, is educated by a woman he hardly knows. And by 'educated' I mean 'gratuitous cunnilingus'. Smut snippet written for a livewrite prompt. - [kinkmeme prompt]"So in LOTR, when we see the bodies of the dwarves in Moria, they're basically skeletons with beards. The beards didn't fall away or decompose. So maybe dwarf hair isn't like human hair, maybe it's a little closer to bone. It would explain why it's such a big deal for dwarves to cut their hair, and it would lend another layer to why Gimli was so awestruck that Galadriel would give him three of her hairs.
Basically a 5x story about the racial/social significance of dwarf hair.
+ if slowly trimming a dwarf's beard is a kind of torture/corporal punishment
++ if giving your lover a lock of your hair is very melodramatic way of declaring your love, (like cutting open you palm to mix blood - OMG! stop it! Just give him/her a ring you weirdo!) [...and areas of the kinkmeme where the phenomenon of mummification is completely unheard of]
