cimoreneOver a year after they finished redoing the balconies in our building they came by to inspect them!
...And that meant we had to take all the stuff inside, which makes yesterday the 2nd time in its life that this balcony has been swept. (In between there was too much stuff on it for that to be possible.)
We probably should avoid just chucking stuff out there in the winter, because I found 3 bags of potting soil in different gardening stuff bins that were kinda falling all over each other, a collection of broken plant pots and 2 actual dead plants, as well as enough sticks that the bunnies have already eaten the bark off of to start at least 2 small campfires. There was also a single, lonely, desiccated native Finnish apple, presumably harvested at Ängisbacka, but why and how did it end up on the balcony all alone???
Rowan has never been out and about when 3 strange adult persons walked into the flat and headed in his direction before. I was trying to gently shoo him out of the way and into shelter, but instead he exploded out from behind the cat playhouse with a furious scrabbling of little tiny toes and shot straight out of the room and down the hall, making enough commotion for several cats or dogs, like a tiny streak of raggedy peach lightning, sparking surprised laughter from the balcony inspectors. (He’s been given a treat and has emerged from hiding to continue playing now. Took about 10 minutes.)
