i used to buy a new bottle of nailpolish almost every week, every time i was in wal-mart, every time i was in the grocery store. i had a tremendous collection of it with every color i could possibly want. some of that i left at school, and i brought home only my very favorite colors for the summer, and now i've lost most of them. my second-favorite color was never gone (sizzle, pale pink with gold sparkles), and a bit ago i located my favorite (crimson) and my fourth favorite or so (pale taupe with gold and silver glitter). it's amazing what something like this can do to cheer you up.

in other news, i feel this really strange urge to dress up to go to the mall. i'm polishing my toes and brushing my hair with leave-in conditioner. i even ironed my favorite skirt. i didn't spend this long getting ready for the last wedding i went to. i predict that i'm even going to wear (gasp) eyeliner.

on the other hand, it's nice to get dressed up every now and then. one needs these excuses.
