It's really tragic that only a certain subset of music acts produce band shirts. There should be the equivalent for all the other kinds of music too!

It would be fun to design band shirts for Holst's The Planets or Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook.

L.A. Opera has produced and sold t-shirts for various productions, notably the Ring Cycle a few years ago, and also others. Of course, the opera equivalent of a t-shirt might be a period ball gown, but the t-shirt worked for me.

I don't like opera and have never been to it nor listened to one all the way through but I would still love a Ring Cycle band shirt because come on
