In theory, once the review process works, a ban that covers only (a) depictions of sex acts and (b) photographic and photorealistic depictions of genitals and nipples (…) would become merely a stupid inconvenience in terms of my fannish activities, and overall most of what fannish people use Tumblr for, aside from all the fanartists who will remain screwed. BUT
On the other hand, right now everything is being flagged and navigating the review request process is hardly seamless (the Android app kept directing me to a nonexistent button on the post; the direct post links show up in my blog style and the flags don’t appear; and the ‘more information’ link on the flag notifications was opening a blank page in Chrome this morning), nor is there any simple notification of which posts have been flagged, so while it doesn’t harm me for random pet photos or screencap posts to be removed from the search results, it’s still annoying and kinda sloppy.
Furthermore, the whole “hiding shit from search results and tags opaquely and without notice” thing is not only bad for artists and writers; it potentially destroys the search function, which is potentially pretty important for fandom use.
And finally, of course, it’s all a very ominous sign about what else is going to be coming.
But in the meantime, there’s no good replacement solution extant for my photo and screencap blogs, let alone the visual multimedia multifannish curation/discussion thingy. (If the clone were as robust as Dreamwidth was at this point in lj’s trajectory, it’d be another matter, but because of reblog culture, the critical mass of other people to reblog from is a much bigger component this time around…)

Hells, I don't really anymore, on account of having gotten more hermity and curmudgeonish over time :P
