(I still need to watch the second season of the Dirk Gently Netflix show. It was fun.)

I thought it was a lot less coherent and good than the first one. Plus the Me Too accusations against Landis broke, I think, when we were halfway through the season, which made it super weird.

But you could say the first season thematically engages with Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and hence is based on time travel, while the second engages with The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul and is therefore fantasy instead. And the second book is weird and less good than the first book too, really.
