Would I recommend it to you? Well, not if you're a die hard fan of the Thor film series, and not if you're prone to seizures or panic attacks, and not if you have and really really severe issues with seeing alcoholism treated as humour. But if you don't mind the fact that it's very much a big-budget spectacle intended to be a peacock feather in a fancy hat, and not a loadbearing keystone? Yeah. It's fun as hell. It's also #problematic as fuck, and inconsistent as those little ferret ball dog toys. Just don't let yourself think about it. At all.
And
I don't exactly 100% undersign everything expressed in the above reaction posts, but they've mostly covered most of the things I've been thinking about it so far. However, I will add a couple of
- ~Hipster Hulk! It's genius!
- Steve vs Steve & the elevator scene👌
- Valkyrie's pegasus! I mean... in the original Ragnarok flashbacks, it looked like we were dealing with a bunch of them, probably a whole herd at least, but that's all we got. Why did they stop being seen on Asgard? Was there a falling out between Asgard and the planet of the pegasi? Did Valkyrie have a pager number for her friend the whole time? Is it even the same pegasus? How many are we talking about? Is it living on New Asgard? How fast are they anyway?
- Once again I went from crying about a main character's death to IRL LOL in a split second when the camera pulled back and showed Natasha's ludicrous platform wedge boots (exactly the same thing happened with Gamora's in IW, I remembered at that instant in near hysteria). Movies... Disney... GUYS... a sensible wedge isn't sensible for running and fighting... it's like... a heel would literally be more practical, but also, for fuck's sake, why can't they just drop the stupid heel? Her catsuit is skintight and she's showing cleavage and wearing like, visible eyeliner flicks. For SPACE MOUNTAINEERING! I know, I know, and I do go here, but I'm just... so... tired.
