bunnies vs the Great Outdoors
10 May 2020 11:05 pmWax planted a few berry bushes and we decided we need a few more of them, but the total amount of ground that has been altered with tools for the purpose of gardening in our yard is still probably less than a square meter.
However, while she was outside I decided to take the bunnies out and stick them in the playpen together to let them eat grass. They've never been in the great outdoors before though, and they were afraid of it. Rowan was too afraid to jump out of the basket I carried them in by himself; Japp crawled up into my lap after a minute or so of sniffing the grass and tucked himself into a loaf shape on my forearm, and Rowan indicated by leaning yearningly against the basket edge that he wanted to be on my lap too. When I gave him a hand up he hurried to hunker down on my thighs.

Presumably repeat exposures will give them the courage to eventually eat some grass.
