We do have water on the tenant's side! It's a bit of a walk, and we've moved all our stuff out of her kitchen now mostly, but she hasn't moved hers in, so we're just walking over there to get water and use the sink and dishwasher. I was thinking today that when these houses - they were built with free patterns - were new, they didn't have running water at all, they're all designed to use with an outhouse and an outbuilding for a sauna and a well. So the original owners would have had a similar but less climate-controlled existence.
Interesting, but not very comforting at this point, alas...
It really is funny how easy it is to consider a luxury like running water and a dishwasher necessary!
No word from plumber today, guess the results aren't back yet. We took the cat to the vet and I guess we'll just get on with more unpacking and hanging shelves and such. 😫 And calling a locksmith. We've talked about calling the locksmith and looked up the number but we both hate calling people so next comes the staring at each other sadly and going over call scripts stage...
