Tristana and the sock
6 Jul 2021 01:56 pmWe had to wash the recovery onesie and the last couple of days Tristana wore this sock instead. The head hole ended up being a little bit too big, and I later tied the straps together with a little elastic in the back. It worked a lot better than the onesie actually! It gave a better range of motion from the legholes and the neck with its lack of turtleneck, presumably. But then the fabric's also thinner and it's pure cotton, and it's snug around the torso because it's knit in the round, so she couldn't wiggle out of it even though she got her shoulders out of the sleeveholes repeatedly.

Today is her second day running around unclothed again though. Here she is yesterday with the sock for comparison. Today she racketed around the house like a tornado from 4-8 am and also last night from about 10-12. It's a bit surreal in the wee hours because you hear it and you keep halfway waking up and then realizing it's just the cat but she makes a lot of different bouncing and banging noises while zooming around. She definitely knocked a bunch of things off a shelf and chewed on the Christmas cactus this morning.
