Today an old man asked me for directions, then interrupted my response TO INTERJECT THE WRONG DIRECTIONS, then turned and walked away before I could correct him while I was still talking.

I guess he punished himself, anyway.

This comparatively rare behavior must be a combination of ego and inattentiveness, surely. Like I can't imagine any plausible reason to ask for directions without wanting to know them, so it must be someone so accustomed to being rude that they don't even register that they didn't let me answer... which is kind of funny and kind of sad, I guess. But it's really not possible to feel sorry for them.

No. It's just the kind of interchange that leaves you shaking your head.

Yes! The indoor environment is very stable and comfortable, except for the one bathroom that's always cold for mysterious reasons (I think maybe the exhaust pipe??? Or not enough floor insulation), and even that is better than before. It hasn't gotten really cold yet this year, so the hardest test is yet to come, but it's such a huge weight off my mind!
