Tristana is one year old!

cimoreneHappy birthday to our little bundle of joy, although her birthday was actually yesterday.
She was the tiniest of her litter and didn't get much food the first week; so achieving her Final Form at 2.2 kg is quite an achievement for this extremely tiny and youthful but fully-grown domesticated hypercarnivore! Made of rubber, irrepressible, determined to take part in EVERYTHING, and always busy charming the socks off everybody, this little firecracker never lets a sound go uninvestigated, including leaping from the floor to Wax's shoulder to monitor toothbrushing and cooking activities, and follows along when plants are being watered to poke the water as it lands in each plant pot. She chases the water droplets religiously after each shower, stares at the fireplace door like the flames are a tv program, and combs the countertops for buttery knives to lick probably twenty times a day. She's too busy playing to go to bed when everybody else does and has to get up to play by herself several times in the night, in between snuggling with us and Snookums - and every morning she leaves shredded used teabags that she's pulled from the trash in the livingroom doorway for us, presumably so that we know she was thinking of us. She's made friends with Rowan, too. Although she is now an adult cat, that doesn't stop her from breaking out the pathetic little baby voice when the food isn't landing in the bowl fast enough, and besides, she'll always be our (and Snookums') baby.
