... I put a bunch of books from my to-read list on my phone:
The idea is to keep picking them up and trying, and then switching to the next one whenever I get bored or annoyed or distracted or dissatisfied, until one of them catches, or until I've discarded them all. Hopefully that won't happen. I loved Crowley's Little, Big, but it is widely considered the stand-out best of his work. I haven't ever tried the others.
SF:
- Asaro, Catherine. Primary Inversion.
- Engdahl, Sylvia. Enchantress from the Stars.
Fantasy:
- Crowley, John. Ka.
- Ford, Jeffrey. The Portrait of Mrs Charbuque.
High fantasy:
- Lee, Tanith. Night's Master.
- Maitland, Karen. Company of Liars.
- McKillip, Patricia A. Ombria in Shadow.
