Though it's possible what you really love is early abstract art, since most of my skill in these iconsets in question has been spent in choosing where to crop.

Weirdly, I was never keen on abstract/modern art but loved most of his work, especially the ones with sharp/bold lines.

He does have a very particular style! Although there are a few other famous artists who've done similar kinds of things, not as famously for the most part, but I think even at the time he was a game-changer.

My youngest loved his work and when she was at junior school she wanted some pictures to keep but I couldn't afford to buy an expensive art book so I recall writing to someone - might have been a publisher - and was shocked when I received an A4 beautiful soft cover book of many of his works in glossy print! We still have that book!

That is quite the story! I always loved big art books too.
