Are "brain weasels" only depression and similar self-directed harmful thoughts, or can they also do executive dysfunction?

Executive dysfunction probably belongs to whatever genus of brain fauna is responsible for adhd, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen them called weasels or not. I have seen that one monkey metaphor, but it seems like it has to be separate because it's only the one monkey.

I have seen them defined as any persistent thoughts that are negative in nature and that lead to you not believing you can do something or that you deserve nice things or that you are worthy as a human being. Almost the equivalent of negative self talk but actually much worse and with a more destructive feel.

I've never really thought about it but I've heard people call ADHD brain fauna "brain sparrows" before :3c
