Well, I haven't found any I wanted to run out and write a solo rec post for, but I've found some to bookmark, so here are the AO3-generated bookmarks for:

He says as much to Robin one day in the middle of their shift, and she-
Laughs at him.
"When did you see him in a swimsuit?" She asks, still giggling.
Steve gives her a pained look. "I haven't."
Bookmarker's Notes:I laughed so hard I scared the cat in my lap. This one was definitely the most memorably funny, so it's going first.

Summary:
Steve almost forgets where he is, where they are, but there’s a flashlight on the ground pointing a beam of light at a set of file cabinets, one of them labeled ‘Confiscated’. He remembers breaking into Hawkins High with Eddie - not the first time he’s done it, admittedly - to help retrieve Eddie’s drugs which had been taken from him earlier in the day. Drugs which thankfully hadn’t been discovered yet because they look like candy and Eddie needs those drugs or he’s gonna catch so much shit from Reefer Rick and–
–and none of that really matters right at the moment, because Steve just got kissed by Eddie Munson and it feels kinda like the world is ending.
Bookmarker's Notes:"Steve doesn't really subscribe to the 'shut up kiss' trope. Whenever he saw it in movies - and he'd seen more than his fair share, recently - he thought it was corny and kinda lame, not to mention a bit sexist, at least in the examples he'd seen. In reality, though, when someone he really likes is babbling on like this without giving him an inch, kissing them really does seem like a good alternative to yelling."
I liked this conversation, even if personally I keep having to remind myself that it IS realistic for someone to forget they were engaged in breaking into the high school and end up making out against the principal's desk at increasing risk of getting caught... if they're a teenaged boy with teenaged boy hormones.

Eddie's trying not to think about it. Steve's 'that kind of charm' works this time.
Bookmarker's Notes:I appreciate someone giving some thought to the idea of Eddie having revelations too. Also this is beautifully constructed.

“You ate the key.”
“I said I was sorry!” Robin exclaims. “You two just looked so cute on the floor together and I remembered the handcuffs in Eddie’s room and I just wanted—” she halts her rambling, glancing between Eddie and Steve. “I thought it’d be funny.”
Bookmarker's Notes:Giving this major props for doing such a classic trope.
third nat one (7199 words) by acetheticallyy
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Stranger Things (TV 2016)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences

Characters: Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson, Dustin Henderson, Nancy Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair
Additional Tags: Dungeons & Dragons, Flirting, Fluff, First Kiss, steve is just trying to flirt with a boy but the dice gods are fickle, rip king
Summary:
Steve agreed to sit in on the kids’ silly little fantasy game for one reason and one reason only. He didn’t think those stupid dice would be so hard to manipulate.
Bookmarker's Notes:The hormones and flirting is all very teenaged and this is cute, but more importantly, for a pairing with a DM in it, there's a severe underrepresentation of D&D play in most of the fic, and this one is doing its share to rectify that.

Summary:
“You want me to apply this liberally to your hair from root to tip?” Eddie offers, shaking the bottle, trying to convey to Steve that he won’t make fun of him. Although maybe he still sounds like he’s making fun of him. “It’s just, uh–earlier you told Robin that raising your arms hurts so I thought…”
Steve looks at him, expression unreadable. It’s probably weird, what Eddie’s doing. Standing in Steve Harrington’s bathroom is weird enough without the additional presumption that Steve would want him prolonging this experience. He really should’ve left the second Steve proved himself capable of showering alone, but–
“Well we can’t use that one until my hair is damp, not wet.” Steve plucks the bottle from Eddie’s hand and promptly swaps it out for a smaller white one. “We can’t really do anything with my hair right now, it just needs to air dry. Um, I do kinda need it out of the way, though. If we’re gonna fix my face.”
Bookmarker's Notes:“You’ve got such a weird way of comforting people, man.”
“The pleasure’s all mine.” Eddie mutters.
“Not bad.” Steve amends, letting the bandage fall away with only two pinched fingers to transfer it to the trash. “Just weird. I’m gonna shower, uh, would it be okay if I leave the door cracked open a little?”
The exact reason why goes unsaid, but Eddie can think of about three right away. He nods. “Of course. Sing me a song while you’re in there.”
The bathroom is really egregiously huge. One room is just for the mirror and sinks (two sinks) and the other adjoined little room with its own separate door has the toilet and shower. Eddie sits on the floor with his back pressed up against the cupboards beneath the sinks and listens to the running water, accompanied every so often by Steve stifling a groan. It’s bizarre. Sitting on the floor of Steve Harrington’s bathroom while he showers with the door cracked open. It’s like they’re married, Eddie idly thinks, and then immediately stops thinking it.
There are a number of h/c fics like this set in the gap between 4.1 and the forthcoming 4.2 but this is my favorite so far. Beautifully written as well - not quite as lyrical and structured as "it's in the trees", but it's a lovely character study with the mood perfectly drawn, a little more kitchen-sink and a little less theatrical.

Series: Part 4 of Stranger Teens (The bonding of the Fruity Four)
Summary:
As soon as Eddie opens the front door, three pairs of eyes turn towards him. It shouldn’t surprise him, in hindsight, their hyperawareness and the tension that lingers behind their haunted eyes a couple seconds until they recognize he’s just good old Eddie ‘The Freak’ Munson and not an otherworldly threat.
Still, something about those looks makes his skin crawl with some primal awareness that he’s in the presence of dangerous people, even as they look away and get back to their business. Apparently, he’s not the only one who can’t sleep.
Bookmarker's Notes:Another fic set in between 4.1 and 4.2, with all the kids sleeping in a pile and the teenagers trying to beat their insomnia. Eddie gets a little background information about the seasons of the show he missed. Gen and pre-slash, friendship.
