Out of the corner of his eye, Steve could swear Munson’s suddenly wearing glasses. Once he turns back to check, however, Munson looks exactly the same as before. He’s grinning, but it’s not a mean grin – it’s soft, like Steve’s both fascinating him and making him concerned.
Before Steve can ask what the fuck is up with that expression, Munson shakes his head and closes his eyes, leaning back against the couch. “So, you lied.” Steve gets caught up in his thoughts, not sure they even exchanged enough words so far for that to even be possible, but Munson is speaking again. “You’ve never done this before, have you?”
